💡 How Series and Parallel Connections Work
- Series Connection (Voltage Buildup): When modules are connected in series, their voltages add up while current remains constant. You'll see dashed curves showing how each additional module shifts the curve to the right (higher voltage).
- Parallel Connection (Current Buildup): When strings are connected in parallel, their currents add up while voltage remains constant. You'll see dashed curves showing how each additional string shifts the curve upward (higher current).
- Visual Learning: The dashed lines show intermediate configurations building up from a single module to your final array. The solid blue/green line is your final system curve.
- Maximum Power Point (MPP): The red dot marks where power output is maximum (Pmpp = Vmp × Imp).
- Open Circuit Voltage (Voc): The maximum voltage when no current flows (where the curve touches the x-axis).
- Short Circuit Current (Isc): The maximum current when voltage is zero (where the curve touches the y-axis).
